Privacy Policy

How we look after the details you share with us — your name, your orders, and the messages you send.

Effective 26 September 2026

Who we are

Sringaar is the jewellery house of SRINGAAR PALACE. When this policy says “we”, “us”, or “our”, it means SRINGAAR PALACE.

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you browse, create an account, place an order, leave a review, or write to us, and how we use and share it. It applies to the Sringaar website and the customer messages we receive about your orders.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us, and a small amount that the site stores so it can work.

  • Account. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture, and Google account identifier. You can also save a display name on your profile.
  • Orders and delivery. To fulfil an order we collect your name, phone number, and shipping address, including address lines, city, state, PIN code, and country, along with the items you buy.
  • Payments. Card, UPI, and net banking details are entered on our payment partner’s page. We receive payment status and a transaction reference. We do not store your full card number.
  • Reviews. If you review a piece, we store the rating, title, and text, and show your name with the published review.
  • Messages. If you write to us on WhatsApp, we receive the content of that conversation so we can reply about orders, care, and service.
  • On your device. Your bag, wishlist, and recently viewed pieces are stored in your browser so they remain when you return. We also use a session cookie to keep you signed in.

How we use it

We use personal information to:

  • Create and keep your account, and recognise you when you return.
  • Take, confirm, pack, ship, and support your orders.
  • Process payments and handle refunds or exchanges.
  • Send order confirmation and other messages about a purchase you made.
  • Publish reviews you choose to submit, after we review them.
  • Reply when you contact us, and keep a record of that conversation.
  • Protect the site, prevent fraud, and meet tax, accounting, and legal duties.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it for advertising profiles or sell it to data brokers.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the services that run the shop, and only for the purpose they are hired to perform:

  • Google — to sign you in, and to send order emails from our mailbox.
  • Cashfree — to take payment and confirm whether it succeeded.
  • Shiprocket — to check delivery to your PIN code and ship your order. They receive the delivery name, phone number, and address.
  • Meta (WhatsApp) — when you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is handled through WhatsApp.
  • Amazon Web Services — to store account, order, address, review, and product data. Our primary storage region is Mumbai (ap-south-1).

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or if it is needed to protect our customers, our rights, or the security of the site. Published reviews are visible to anyone who views that product.

Cookies and on-device storage

The site uses a few cookies and browser storage items:

  • Session cookie (sringaar_session) keeps you signed in for up to 7 days. It is HTTP-only, so page scripts cannot read it.
  • Sign-in cookie (oauth_state) is set for about 10 minutes during Google sign-in, then discarded.
  • Local storage keeps your bag, wishlist, and recently viewed pieces on your device until you clear them or your browser storage.

We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. You can block cookies in your browser. If you block the session cookie, you will need to sign in again for account and checkout features.

How long we keep it

We keep account details while your account is in use. We keep order, payment, and delivery records for as long as we need them to complete the order, handle returns, resolve disputes, and meet tax and accounting duties. Chat messages are kept so we can follow up on the request you sent. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete or de-identify it.

How we protect it

We use access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and signed session cookies to protect personal information. Payment details are collected by Cashfree, not stored on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can:

  • Update your name from your account profile.
  • Add, edit, or delete saved addresses from your account.
  • Sign out, which clears the session cookie on this browser.
  • Clear your bag, wishlist, and recently viewed pieces by clearing this site’s data in your browser.
  • Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.

Some records, especially completed orders and payment references, may need to be kept where the law requires it. If we cannot delete something you ask us to remove, we will tell you why.

These choices sit alongside the rights available to you under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, including the right to access, correct, and erase personal data, and to have a grievance heard.

Children

Sringaar is a shop for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top of this page is the date of the current version. Continued use of the site after an update means you have read the revised policy.
